We teach our students observational drawing and painting skills from still life set ups and, when necessary from images. We have a proven teaching method that has had great results with students of all levels (from 8 years or older) and we are delighted with the self confidence our students gain from having a strong foundation in drawing and painting skills. At the studio, students will have the use of a well stocked library of history of art books to anchor their understanding of the process. They will be tutored in alll types of media pencil, charcoal, ink, pastel, acrylic, oil (for advanced students) and mixed media. Classes are individually tailored to each student's goals and abilities rather than as a group. We teach sketching and line drawing using pencil, charcoal and ink; tonal values through work in charcoal, pastel and acrylic paint and composition and perspective through still life obeservations.
Art materials and supplies are included and we can store any unfinished work.
We cannot take your booking at the moment but please reserve your place on the waiting list as additional places may be released in due course and you will be notified accordingly.
